EXPLORE THE KICK 10 RUGBY BALL
The Kick 10 Rugby Ball is a unique coaching aid and kicking guide designed to support your progress in rugby
Develop hand, eye and foot coordination with Kick10’s unique design, gain consistency over your kick execution with 10 motifs to guide your foot to the right place at the right time.

Goal Kick
The sweet spot for the upright/slightly slanted tee goal kicker. Plant your non kicking foot level/slightly in front of the ball and pull back your kicking foot. Allow the pendulum motion of your leg to carry through as you make contact with the ball.
Chip
Crossfields, or a wee chip over for yourself or your teammate. Drop it to your foot, either in front or behind the hip and with a deft touch slightly slice through it then get your skates to regather or run in support. Once mastered you’ll be catching your own kicks in no time.
Spiral Kick
The corkscrew kick is a dying art in the pro game down to its high risk nature. Take away the risk and make sure your contact is pure each and every time. Perfect for the 50/22 or 40/20 rule. Cut across the edge of the ball, with the outside of your boot and the ball will spiral away.
Grubber Kick
The classic bouncing, rolling, unreadable grubber. Drop the sweet spot onto your boot and watch the full back weep. Experiment and practice, there are many variations to unlock.
Spinning Grubber
The Rugby League special, spin defenders inside out with this spinning dervish. Angle the ball towards the ground and drive your foot down and through to send the ball into a curling arc, perfect for flying wingers to pounce on.
Up and Under
The ‘Garryowen’; this classic bombardment technique is a must when you sense weakness in your opponent’s catching technique. Strike under the ball and hoist it as high as possible. Give you and your team time to harass whoever may be trying to catch it. Variations on the strike can send the ball into a spin making it harder to read and catch.
Drop Kick
Restarts, attempts at goal, 22 drop outs. Drop kicking is a required skill but timing the strike on the half-volley, just after it has bounced, not too early, not too late takes practice. A lot of practice. Now you know the best point to strike each and every time. For re-starts, catch the ball later (higher) in the bounce, gain more hang time of the ball in the air.
Box Kick
The jack-in-the-box kick loved by scrum halves world-wide. The spring of the player, from low to high, while kicking the ball, like a jester popping out of the old style toy boxes. Crouch, step back then up, and in one fluid motion make contact with the flat top of your foot through the sweet spot.
Punt
Distance the object and power the key. Leather it as hard as you dare and watch it fly. Not one for the garden unless you live on a farm. Practice is what makes this kick; the power and timing of the strike are what makes it.
Banana Kick
A lovely curling kick with either the right or left foot to the touchline. Perfecting this technique will add a right-(or left) angle to your kick and gain those vital extra yards. A high risk kick but one with high rewards.
